Theatre Work

Five young people sitting on the floor in a black-box theater, reviewing scripts, with chairs and black curtains in the background.

Harrison’s theatre work cuts across many disciplines, including directing, dramaturgy, and performance, but remains centered on the development of new work and deeply collaborative process. They studied directing, playwrighting, and producing at Sarah Lawrence College.

Working as a director, their focus is on new play dramaturgy and facilitating a collaborative space between the other creative voices in the room. They've directed numerous new short plays with the Obie-Award-Winning writers group Youngblood, including collaborations with Julia Specht, Jahna Ferron Smith, Will Arbery, Mara Nelson Greenberg, and others. Additional directing credits include PattyComm. Ave Overpass on the Boston Side (EST/Youngblood), Faster Than Bullets (HERE), as well as assistant directing on The Lightning Thief Musical (Theatreworks), Dido of Idaho (EST), Old Names for Wildflowers (The Tank), and others.

As a performer, they have worked with The Renovationists on several projects, namely the ongoing development of Else Went’s Initiative, where they have been a part of the ensemble since its inception in 2017.
